Japanese martial arts for modern life…

At Satorikan, we believe that jūjutsu offers far more than physical technique. Through respectful instruction and practical training, students develop confidence, awareness and resilience – qualities that remain just as valuable today as they have always been.

Respect • Practical Self Defence • Lifelong Learning

Principles That Still Matter

Based in Saltash, Cornwall, Satorikan is an jūjutsu dojo welcoming teenagers (14+) and adults from South East Cornwall, Plymouth and South West Devon.

Training is structured, practical and supportive, helping students understand not only how techniques work, but why they work. Whether you’re taking your first steps in martial arts or returning after time away, you’ll be encouraged to learn and progress at your own pace.

Every lesson is designed so that students leave with a better understanding, practical skills and something new to build on the next time they train.
