Satorikan Jūjutsu Dojo is based in Saltash and welcomes adults (16+) from Plymouth and the surrounding area.

Whether you’re completely new to martial arts or returning after time away, Satorikan offers structured, practical and supportive training, with an emphasis on understanding not only how techniques are performed, but why they work.

Training Just Across the Tamar

Saltash is easily accessible from Plymouth via the Tamar Bridge and A38, with students travelling from across Plymouth and the surrounding area to train at Satorikan.

Training takes place in the Church Hall at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Saltash. The venue is located at the end of Bishops Close and has ample on-site parking.

Why Train at Satorikan?

At Satorikan, students are encouraged to develop an understanding of movement, balance, timing and body mechanics rather than simply memorising techniques.

Training is structured and progressive, allowing students to build practical skills and confidence at a pace that is appropriate for them.

Respect and patience are central to the dojo environment, creating a welcoming place to train, learn and develop.

Your First Visit

No previous martial arts experience is required.

You’re welcome to watch a class, but the best way to discover whether Satorikan is right for you is to step onto the mat and experience training for yourself.

Your first two weeks of training are free, giving you the opportunity to try Satorikan before making any commitment.

Training Times

Monday (except Bank Holidays): 19:00–21:00
